LAWRENCE HEIGHTS MIDDLE SCHOOL

My first placement was at Lawrence Heights Middle School in Toronto, Ontario. I was in a grade six classroom that was full of students from diverse cultural backgrounds and mostly low-income families who were recent immigrants to Canada. I observed, planned, taught, and reflected on lessons in the language arts, math, social studies, and drama. I also planned and organized two field trips that tied in with the media studies curriculum - the first to a Raptor's professional basketball game and the second to TV Ontario.
